Delicious Vegan Hedgehog Slice

Delicious Hedgehog Slice Recipe 🄰⁠

Hedgehog slices are an ABSOLUTE classic Australia dessert, and this vegan version will have you licking your chops! 🤤⁠

INGREDIENTS

Vegan Hedgehog Slice

  • 5 tbsp butter⁠

  • 370g condensed milk alternative

  • 150g vegan chocolate⁠

  • 250g Arnotts Nice biscuits, finely crushed⁠

  • ½ cup desiccated coconut⁠

  • ½ walnuts, roughly chopped⁠

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder⁠

  • 210g vegan chocolate⁠

METHOD

  • Line a square baking tin with baking paper and set aside. ⁠

  • Place the nuttelex, condensed milk alternative and chocolate into a small saucepan on low heat. Cook and continue stirring until chocolate is melted⁠

  • Place chocolate mixture into a large bowl. Add the crushed biscuits, desiccated coconut, walnuts and cocoa powder and mix together well. ⁠

  • Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared tin, pressing down firmly. ⁠

  • Melt the chocolate in a small saucepan on low heat, constantly stirring until chocolate has melted⁠

  • Pour the melted chocolate over the top of the slice and refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours.⁠

  • Cut into slices and store in an airtight container or alternatively place in the freezer to store longer⁠
