Baked Protein Halloween Donuts
Here's a clever high protein snack to try for yourself this Halloween - that'll bring the scares and the deliciousness!
You can opt for some basic chocolate donuts, or you can coat your donuts into some protein powder
I also decorated my donuts with marshmallows, pumpkin seeds and choc chips.
INGREDIENTS
Vegan Baked Protein Halloween Donuts
◾ 1 + 1/4 cups plain flour
◾ 1 cup coconut sugar (or white sugar)
◾ 1/3 cup cacao powder
◾ 1 cup warm water
◾ 1 tsp vanilla extract
◾ 1/3 cup vegan butter (melted)
◾ 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
METHOD
▪️ Preheat the oven to 180c
▪️ Mix all ingredients well. Dry first, then wet
▪️ Place in a silicon donut tray and place in the oven for about 30 minutes
▪️ Allow to cool and then decorate. I used protein powder, marshmallows, choc chips and pumpkin seeds
