How to Make a Flax Egg
One of the key components of these vegan fritters is the flax egg, a simple and effective egg substitute that’s perfect for binding ingredients in vegan recipes. Here’s how to make it:
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
3 tablespoons water
Instructions:
Mix the Flaxseed and Water: In a small bowl, combine the ground flaxseed with the water. Stir well to ensure the flaxseed is fully mixed in.
Let It Sit: Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 minutes. During this time, it will thicken and develop a gel-like consistency, similar to that of an egg.
Use as a Binder: Once thickened, your flax egg is ready to use in your fritter batter, helping to hold all the ingredients together.
