Accidentally Vegan Australia 2022

One of the biggest issues when first going vegan is understanding what is actually vegan friendly in the supermarkets! It can be terribly confusing when reading ingredient lists, but hopefully this list will help you find a handful of new vegan friendly items that can now be found in Australia.

The Natural Confectionery Co. Berry Salad:

Get around these new vegan friendly lollies friends.

The Natural Confectionery Co has released their second vegan friendly lolly and this one is an absolute winner!

Covered in a sugary coating, these Berry Salad lollies are super flavoursome and compliment the company’s other vegan lollies incredibly well.

This new product is now available at Woolworths & Coles supermarkets for $4

Popcorners:

These new snacks are incredibly underrated and need to be added to your next food shop!

Popcorners have two vegan friendly flavours, including Sea Salt and Sweet & Salty.

These chips are incredibly airy, flavoursome and remind you on popcorn. What’s also fantastic about these is that they are minimal ingredient too - only 3 and 4 ingredients respectively.

You can find this variety at Coles supermarkets for $3.50 and is well worth checking out

Kettle Finger Lime & Tasmanian Pepper Leaf:

Kettle have a handful of already vegan friendly chips available, but the brand has recently released a new one in their ‘Native Flavour Collection’ range.

The new range pays homage to some unique Australian flavours, including this vegan friendly ‘Finger Lime & Tasmanian Pepper Leaf’ variety that is vegan.

If you love your lime flavours then this one is honestly right up your alley! It also has a very mild pepper aftertaste too.

It’s an interesting flavour combination, but it definitely works.

You can find this new variety at Coles for $5.50

Whittaker’s Oat Milk Chocolate:

Whittaker's Oat Milk Chocolate Vegan

Popular New Zealand chocolate company, Whittaker’s, now has available a vegan friendly chocolate block - Whittaker’s Oat Milk Chocolate.

No vegan tax or reduced size on this one, with the new Oat Milk Chocolate being the same size and price as Whittaker’s non-vegan chocolate blocks (250g and RRP $6.50).

The Whittaker’s Oat Milk Chocolate is probably not as creamy as other vegan chocolates on the market, but the chunky size and delicious chocolate flavours is enough to make up for it.

You can find this in Coles Supermarkets for $6.50, or sometimes on special for $4.80
