Garlic Bread Vegan Using Puff Pastry

If you are looking for a garlic bread vegan recipe that is a bit lighter and lower in carbs, then this recipe that uses puff pastry is going to be right up your alley - whether it’s used as a delicious side or even as a late night vegan snack!

This puff pastry garlic bread vegan recipe comes together relatively easy as well, and just uses one puff pastry sheet.

You will start off by mixing your vegan cheese (I use a vegan mozzarella), vegan butter, parsley and garlic together to make a garlicy/herby butter that you will spread on your prepared puff pastry sheets.

By scoring your puff pastry, you will be able to create a little puffed barrier to keep your garlic butter in that’ll melt perfectly and make one truly incredible garlic bread vegan snack.

INGREDIENTS

Puff Pastry Garlic Bread Vegan

  • 120g vegan mozzarella

  • 2 tbsp vegan butter⁠

  • 1 tbsp parsley⁠

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced⁠

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry


METHOD

  • Preheat oven to 200c⁠

  • Grate mozzarella and place in a mixing bowl along with softened butter, parsley and garlic. Mix together⁠

  • Grab one sheet of thawed out puff pastry sheet and cut in half. Now score a line across all four edges of the puff pastry halves - this we create a border!⁠

  • Evenly spread mixture across puff pastry halves, trying to keep it within the border⁠

  • Place in the oven for about 8-12 minutes or until puff pastry has slightly browned
