  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • ½ cup plain flour

  • ½ cup soy milk

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp sugar

  • ½ tsp pepper

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp ground ginger

  • ½ tsp sweet paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

METHOD

  • Drain the jackfruit and discard any tough pieces or seeds, leaving only the stringy parts.

  • Add the jackfruit to a small saucepan with vegetable stock and soy sauce. Bring it to a boil and let it cook for at least 10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow it to cool completely in the stock.
